When God created everything in seven days, He created it all with a rhythm. He gave things systems to follow. There is a normal order that He instilled into the universe. The sun rises and sets. Our bodies require sleep and follow a circadian rhythm. The moon influences tides. Plants grow from seed with the help of sun, food and water. The stars help with determining seasons, years and also directions. We need to work for seven days and rest on one each week following the example of God. Planets spin on their axes and orbit their suns. All of these processes are by the design of an artistically creative God.

It happened again. My second son has announced his engagement to the world, and the same questions I had from my first son's engagement came back to haunt me. Questions asking what kind of man he has become, did I teach him well, and was I a good example to him as he grew up? What did I teach him about God and his relationship to Him? What did I show him when it comes to honesty, integrity, faithfulness, charity, mercy and love? What kind of husband will he become because of my example?
