
Senior Pastor: Douglas Blair
Doug Blair founded Bluewater Baptist in 1978 and has been here ever since. He and his wife, Detra, (who is from Dallas, Texas) have three grown sons. Doug graduated from Dallas Seminary and served in Pembroke, ON before coming to Sarnia. When not at work he can usually be found in his basement working on his model railroad or out skiing (preferably on a high and challenging mountain).

Assistant Pastor: Tim Cressman
Tim grew up in Sarnia and met his wife Valerie while attending Moody Bible Institute. Tim served as a Youth Pastor in Sudbury for six years before joining the staff at Bluewater in 2005.
Tim and Valerie have two boys, Bryce and Austin, and a princess they call Grace.
Tim is responsible for overseeing Adult Ministries at Bluewater.

Children's Pastor: Steve Bourque
Daphne and Steve were married on April 3, 2004. They both received their degrees from Moody Bible Institute where they also met and began their relationship. Daphne was raised in Ohio. Steve was raised in Victoria, B.C. and Sarnia, ON. They have a growing family, including Sonora, Josiah and Selah.
Steve joined the staff of Bluewater in 2004.

Director of Student Ministries: Bethany Nichols
Bethany Nichols is originally from Cambridge Ontario, and is a graduate from New Brunswick Bible Institute, and has been a part of the staff at Bluewater since 2007. Bethany oversees Bluewater's Student Ministries from grade six through college/university.

Biblical Counsellor: Cheryl Bourgeois
Cheryl has trained and been examined by the National Association of Nouthetic Counsellors. (NANC) She continues to update her qualifications by attending NANC conferences held throughout the United States and Christian Counselling Education Foundation (CCEF) conferences held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is on staff at Bluewater Baptist Church both as the counsellor and co-ordinator of women’s ministries. Cheryl counsels exclusively with in a biblical framework . She counsels issues including abuse and victimization, anger, depression, eating disorders, fear, guilt, grief, relational problems, pain, self-image concerns, singleness and family issues.
Administration: Nadine Frayling
Nadine has grown up at Bluewater and joined the staff in 2003. She is married to Don and has two children, Sydney and Nathan.
Nadine keeps Pastor Blair and the boys in line, and keeps Bluewater ticking on a day-to-day basis.
